Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information we collect from you, how we use that information, and our legal basis for doing so. It also covers whether and how that information may be shared and your rights and choices regarding the information you provide to us.

100 Million Books endeavors to enable its users to explore the world of books and ideas with unhindered freedom. This requires a high degree of privacy.

What data we collect (and how)

We collect no data about you—there are no trackers loaded with the website or included with either of the extensions. We get a rudimentary idea of website activity through server logs, which are totally anonymous and purged after 30 days on a rolling basis.

If you opt in to receiving our email newsletter, we will store your email address.

Data retention

If you opt in to receiving our email newsletter, we'll retain your email address for as long as you're subscribed. You can manage this data through the link at the bottom of each email we send.

Third-party services

100 Million Books hosts its own infrastructure so that user data is never stored by third parties.

This website (https://100millionbooks.org) is hosted on a self-managed server and the newsletter server is a self-managed Mailtrain instance.

We never sell any of the data we collect.

Your rights
